I am currently in a instruction technology class that introduces students/aspiring teachers on how to integrate technology into the classroom. Keep reading as I explore what Schoology is?

Snapshot of my Schoology Course

I am going to be completely honest, I thought I was tech savvy before I started my instructional technology class. I can be further from the truth as I am approaching the end it. I found that I have so much to learn but also been enriched by all the new tools I have been introduced to and how I can use them in my future classroom.

"Schoology is a learning management system for K-12 schools, higher education institutions, and corporations that allows users to create, manage, and share content and resources ."-Wikipedia

Today, I will be discussing the program Schoology! What exactly is Schoology, you ask, it is a learning management system for schools to create, manage, and share content and resources. In my class I had to create course in Schoology and had opportunity for students to test it out. I did my course on addition and subtraction, adding in a video, creating an assignment and even creating a test/quiz.

My Experience with Schoology

What I enjoyed the most about creating a Schoology course was how easy it is to use and navigate. I did have some issues but were solved with some guidance from my professor. A great component of Schoology is availability for you to monitor your students progress and view the stats of your class. This is great as it would allow you to see which students are struggling and which are doing well so that you can either provide extra assistance if needed.

I still have more to learn about the program and need to gain some more experience in creating courses and working with the analytics of Schoology but I do foresee myself utilizing this awesome tool in my future classroom.
